"Not nearly enough." It was a catch all answer. "I wanna make the news."

"Oh, there are plenty of ways to accomplish that," Apollo promised with a laugh. "Just look around you. They can't take their eyes off us."

From:

"We're not having sex in front of them." She smirks, only half teasing.

From:

"Pity that. It'd make for a good show," Apollo said with a mock-sigh. Then, he got a strange look on his face. Urania was... trouble. He just knew it.

"...what would you say to shaking up a town. One that desperately needs it?" he suggested.

From:

She raised a brow at him, the look not at all lost on her. "I take you don't mean this one. Where to then?"

From:

"Laramie. Sleepy little place. Your sister is there, and I don't think she's taking so well to what's happening today. We should cheer her up," he said with a smirk.

She definitly wanted to see Urania. She was curious as to how suddenly being full Muse again had affected get. So she have a slight shrug. "I suppose we could go wake the place up."

From:

"Perfect. Come, my darling, your chariot--and sister--awaits," he said gallantly. And then he grinned and whispered in her ear, "And, if you want, I'm sure I could manage to pleasure you on the way there."

She laughs. "You're such a horn dog." But she didn't say no.

From:

"When else do I get a chance to properly love a goddess?" he teased back. He was true to his word, borrowing a little puddle-jumper of an airplane (and equally true about pleasing her along the way), and high-tailing it to Laramie.

"Well, that was a delightful trip, don't you think?" he asked cheerfully, straightening his chiton before they disembarked. "Now, to find your sister."

She didn't say anything, just rolled her eyes playfully.

"She shouldn't be too hard to find."

From:

"No, I imagine not. Just follow the vibes and those with stars in their eyes," he laughed.

She took his hand, casually lacing their fingers. "Well then come on! What are we standing around for?"

Urania had been trying to have a normal day. That had been spoiled around the time the Internet exploded with reports of mysterious beings. Unfortunately, even godlings have teaching duties

And, now she was stuck in office hours, trying to sort out which of the crowd of undergrads were here with questions about astronomy and which were just here to gawk. The rest of the office had claimed a corner to work on their own projects -- quietly, thank god, though from the rate of typing and scribbling, they seemed to be exceedingly productive.

At least the crowd of students -- even the ones who she was certain weren't even enrolled in astronomy, and a few people she was almost certain weren't actually students -- seemed to be getting everything she explained to them.

Part of her was tempted to start doing her own homework on the board to see how far the magic went.

There were times when being both the God of Prophecy and the Mousagetes came in handy. This was one of them. Basking in the awed stares of the assorted students and faculty, Apollo strode toward Urania's office, proudly hand-in-hand with Melpomene. He only smiled beatifically at the whispers around them. Oh, it was good to be a god again.

Whistling cheerfully, he headed up to her office, and beamed when he caught sight of her violet hair.
"Hello, love. Aren't you a sight for sore eyes?" he asked by way of a greeting.

Urania waved. "I'm in the middle of something." Not that everyone in the room hadn't noticed the entrance, but Urania was, if nothing else, a professional. And, still a teacher... perhaps especially so now.

"Such enthusiasm." She remarked with amused sarcasm. "It's not like we came all this way to spend time with you."

Though she put up a front of casualness, she itched to have Urania's hand in hers. It was so different from when they'd been together during the holidays. She could feel her sister now. There was not banal mortality blocking them. Urania was a piece of her, and she wanted to connect.

And because she wanted to go to Urania so badly, she took her hand out of Apollo's and slid her arms around his waist, resting her head on his shoulder. He was just as much her home. She just needed time to adjust to the old power, that's all.

"Well, we do have until sunrise," Apollo remarked. "Hmm. I do wonder if I'm supposed to be the one who has to take care of that for tomorrow morning."

"Of course, we'd be happy to help as well," he offered, his arms encircling Melpomene, and lightly kissing her forehead. He was radiant with his warm, healing power.

"You know, if I'd known this was coming, and you were coming, I'd have gotten someone else to cover for me," Urania said. "I'd forgotten that thing about how prophecies don't usually make sense until afterward."

Apollo smiled his most charming roguish little half-smirk.
"Then it means we've been apart far too long," he said, "After all, you were gifted wit foresight, just as I was."

He held out a hand toward her.
"Won't you come with us, my darling?"

From:

She smiled at her sister, still cuddled up to their Sun God. "We only get one day, babe. This mundane stuff will wait until tomorrow." She sing-songed her words and the room of mortals suddenly looked eager to leave, like they just got inspired to do that one thing they kept putting off for later. For some of them, it might even have been homework.

"Well, now that I don't have any students," Urania said. "Just let me put a sign on the door in case any of them come back."

From:

"Of course, love. Whenever you're ready," Apollo said with a grin.

From:

Urania quickly wrote a sign -- strange how her handwriting had improved -- saying that a 'family event' had called her out and to email her for an appointment if she was needed. "There."

From:

"Perfect," Apollo said, nodding in approval. "Now. We only have until sunrise to make the most of this. Where shall we begin?"

From:

"Where are the most people?" Mel still wanted to make a scene. She felt she hadn't done nearly enough damage in Seattle before they left.

From:

"Somewhere that isn't Wyoming," Urania added. "Laramie is about as happening it gets in this state."

That and she'd rather Mel's powers not be used somewhere she might have to come back to later.
