It wasn't every day one of 'Dite's lovers hit a milestone birthday, whether they wanted to or not. Poseidon deserved a night to feel extra special. When he turned 40, the world wasn't likely to forget it.

She dressed in something that managed to be sexy, sophisticated and patriotic all at once, and carried a card and a gift in her arms. She rang up to his penthouse, and smiled.

Reluctantly Poseidon had let Chelsea go for the night to spend with her girlfriends with the strict indication that she wasn't to go running off with that boy she had her eye on. It was only a matter of time before she, like her father, dived into that rather passionate personality. He may have had nothing to do with her, but hell if he was going to allow some teenage boy get his hands on her. She was his daughter.

As her mother had found out after that nasty divorce. He was vengeful and would take down someone with a strike. He didn't need Zeus' lightening bolt to prove a point. He'd beaten and broken her mother mentally and emotionally draining her of ever having a normal and productive life again. She'd never be able to have a relationship without a manipulative bastard telling her what to do. All that had been Poseidon's doing after stripping her of her confidence and her child.

Now it was his child, and that child while annoying had tugged his weakness. He actually gave a damn for the brat.

Poseidon opened the door letting Aphrodite slide in with a dress that all but accentuated every fine detail of her body.
