Summary: Mel is ~~avoiding Apollo's babycraze~~taking some time to practice her guitar.

Playing the guitar around an annoying pregnancy belly was a little bit of a challenge. But once she got herself situated, it wasn't too bad. She strummed something simple on the acoustic instrument, making sure it was properly tuned. The simple tune turned into a song and she hummed along with it. Hey if Marilyn Monroe could play One Silver Dollar, so could she. And she also loved the movie River of No Return, so there. Marilyn Monroe was the shit.

"A pleasure, Mel."

"Heh, you say that now." She grinned and took her hand back. The guitar music started up again. She was just making it up as she went along, though it sounded rather good. "So did you come down here with something specific on your mind, or are you just looking for anything to pass the time?"

"I like to live dangerously," he teased. "I was going to use the shooting range. My girl, Tara's working on some tech stuff for your doctor, so I thought I'd kill time here."

"I don't really play with guns. I'm more of a hands on type of girl."

For a moment Seth raised curious eyebrow at her choice of words, but chose a more subtle question. "What do you prefer to handle then?" Okay, subtle for Seth.

"Clubs. Swords. Or just bare hands can be really satisfying. I like getting up close and personal." The conversation was getting abruptly steeped in innuendo, and she didn't mind that one bit.

Okay, he'd be lying if he said he didn't like the direction this was going.

"Oh I can certainly understand that. Having the right weapon in your hands can be very satisfying. Getting up close where you can s sweat, feel his breath shift."

"And know when you're hitting all the right..." Her fingers plucked a soft three note scale, while she kept a purposeful gaze on him. "Notes. It's a very intoxicating rush."

Seth takes a deep, settling breath, crossing his leg a bit to hide a slight growth in interest.

"There's nothing quite like looking upon your work, seeing it fulfilled," he agrees.

She noted his shifting and his breathing with a smirk. Men were so easy sometimes. "And being fulfilled by it. Though we've long since stopped talking about violence." Yeah, Mel can only do subtext for so long.

A playful chuckle. "True enough, but it was an interesting way to go about it."

She inclined her head in a slight nod. "Definitely a first for me."

"If you don't mind my asking, have your men been seeing to your needs since the pregnancy?" he asked.

"More or less. All I'd have to do is look at Apollo, but sometimes he's a little too sweet for my mood. And Triton normally lives across the country from me. As he once said, three thousand plus miles is a long way to go for sex."

He nods. "I ask because being pregnant hasn't stopped Tara from getting in the mood, so I figured you've probably felt something similar. Do they know what they're doing? I mean sex can suck for a pregnant woman if the guy doesn't have a clue what he's doing." He pauses. "...I read a lot of stuff," he admits.

She couldn't help it, that made her laugh out loud. "Oh man, I've never heard anyone question Apollo's abilities at sex! That's just..." And she dissolved into a fit of laughter for a moment. "No, no, he's perfectly well versed. He's just always Apollo. And I haven't actually tried out the Sea Prince since I became 'well rounded'."

He can't help but join her in laughter.

"Hey you never know," he says half-heartedly in his defense. "Tara and I haven't had as much sex since the pregnancy, but the times we have ha been great. I'd recommend you lay on your side, it's supposed to be a lot more comfortable."

"Well I appreciate the advice. And I will be sure to pass it along." And she would because that would be hilarious. "And I gotta ask, what was that about you not getting as much sex since the pregnancy?"

"Huh? Oh I'm sure you've experienced some of the same mood shifts that tar has. Don't get me wrong, when she does want to she's as wanton as ever, but there are limitations when pregnant. Though to be fair when I say 'less sex' I should probably mention we have sex, a lot, normally. SO my definition of 'less' may be different," he conceded.

Boy this conversation was just getting funnier and funnier. "My moods are already a bit all over the place. But let me just say, when Apollo wants sex he doesn't really have a problem getting it." Then something occurred to her, which was a slight concern. "Wait, are you two monogamous?" She said the word 'monogamous' like it was a disability.

"No, when we reunited we hashed out how we wanted things to be. She wants to stick with me, but has no problem with me being with other women if I want. Hell, she actually encourages it," he says, shaking his head with a fond smile.

"Good, cuz that almost turned this a little pre-sex conversation a little awkward." Apparently, there was no doubt in her mind where the two of them were going to end up. And she had no issue in saying it out loud.

"I can be a bastard, but I wouldn't step out on my girl if she didn't approve." He looks over at her seriously. "Is that where you want this to go?"

She pointedly looked at where he'd crossed his legs to hide earlier and then back up to him. "Don't you?"

He uncrossed his leg. "Very much so."
