Hades heard Erato's exclamation and immediately abandoned his attack on the Oneads and ran over. He would have what was HIS. He grabbed the egg with his name on it, and like Erato before him, immediately felt the return of his sense of responsibility. His first thought was guilt over how poorly he had treated Lily and his thinking of of Persephone as nothing more than a possession. The battle forced him out out of his reverie, he had to help the others! He raced back, determined to make this up to Lily and double his efforts to find Persephone when this was finished.
