Somehow, some way, they managed to gather in Minneapolis. The venture just a bit further north placed them at the epicenter of their power, where the very things that made them who they are as deities lay dormant, waiting to be gathered.

They have the key; the question now is whether they have the force for whatever awaits them. Gaia was anything but subtle, and there was little doubt that they were in for the time of their lives... so to speak.

Sigyn blinked several times at the sudden slaughter of birds, glancing briefly to Baldr before falling in behind Hel. What she did remember of Hel did not fit the situation, and Sigyn has no choice but to blame Gaia for this.

Further up the way, she spots the basket that has caused them so much grief, and swings at some birds on her own, seeing as they seem all the more pissed off that she's so close to the thing. Some try to divebomb her head, not to mention her hand as she reaches out for it. "Hel! I've got it!"

"Does it have the stolen items?' Sif called, swinging at a few more birds.

Frigg's eyes light up as the desired information appears in her mind.

"Yes! Our traits are in the basket!" she calls out.

"In that case," Tyr backhands a raven in mid-air and heads to the basket. "I'm taking back what's mine."

'Sounds like a plan!" Sif said, and dove for her egg. It broke, and she gasped. "Oh my god, have I been a complete idiot this whole time?" she asked.

Tyr resisted the urge to make a comment. He picked up the egg and immediately felt guilty.

"Good grief I've been an asshole!"

Frigg follows after Balder. When she saw her son take his egg and immediately become free of his illnesses, she picked up her own. She quickly felt a sense of completeness upon doing so.

"I have children to pamper."

Sigyn stares at the egg in her hands before sighing deeply and cracking the thing open. "I'm really glad I don't want to kill all of you anymore. That really sucked."

Hel was the last one to take her egg. When she opened it, she didn't gush with happiness or sigh in relief. She looked around at the birds laying dead on the ground, at least a third of them slain by her hands.

No not just slain. Far worse.

She stepped away from the group, a hand cover her mouth. Horror at what she'd done, and such complete, pure guilt crushing down around her heart.

Sif noticed and moved to Hel's side.
"Are you all right? Anything we can do to help?" she asked, looking over the other woman with concern.

She shook her head slightly when Sif came to her side. It was her natural instinct to not worry others. But then Baldr was there, giving her concern, compassion and touched her. It was too much to fight. She began to cry, sobs hard enough to shake her whole frame, but not loud.

She turned into Baldr and cried on his shoulder. "I didn't just kill them. I destroyed them. How could I do that?"

"You did what you needed to do," Sif assured her, "We could never have won without your help. It's over now, and Baldr's right. It's best if we get out of here."
