Summary: Mab and Apollo must work together
She is not a morning person. Without her alarm clock she would sleep at least until mid-morning naturally. And as that alarm clock was not there, she was sleeping soundly, curled on her side.

Aware of the obstacle of the chain, she flung open the wardrobe, and efficiently, if a little impatiently, picked through the available clothing.

"I'll wait to dress until I've exhausted a few of our options," he said.

At the door, she eyed the length of the chain with a scowl. What was Gaia's game with this. Perverted, invasive creature. She would have to stand nearly on top of the door to have room to move. But there was no way she was simply going to change with him looking on. He could be pressed up to the door for all she cared for his comfort in the matter.

"You do realize that really didn't change anything?" he pointed out when she emerged.

She was making remarkably good eye contact with him as well.

"Damn. Worth a shot, though."

"Another pointless puzzle then. Gaia must be deeply bored."

"So, all right, clearly conventional methods aren't going to work. And even slightly unconventional ones..." He paused, drumming his fingers thoughtfully. "I don't suppose you're hungry? Thinking always seems to work better for me on a filled stomach."

"Not much, but there's bread, honey, tea and lemon. That's enough to get started, at least. Now... you like your bread untoasted with the honey, isn't that right?"

"Indeed," was her only reply.

She made no comment as she tasted her tea. It wasn't hardly sweet enough, and she reached for the honey to add a much more generous amount.
