Summary: Arthur arrives in Seattle, ready to talk business with his associates.


Adam Parry touched down at the airport in Seattle. When he got his bag and went outside, he assessed the situation. Still Wet. Not nearly as hot. Much more familiar. He scans around, looking for Nina, whom he'd sent the number and time of his flight. It was going to be so good to see Nimue again. And Gawain... goodness, Gawain. He'd better get here quick. It was still so hard to believe they wouldn't just slip away.

She comes back in a little while later with a tea set enough for all of them and gives Arthur a wry glance.

"You should be grateful I'm not serving coffee being that this is Seattle."

She sets the tray in the middle of the table and lets them help themselves.

"Thank you very much, Nina," Gawain says, touching her arm briefly. "This is lovely!"

"And I'm quite properly living in fear." But right now, he's going to enjoy the tea.

"We're not that scary," Ariadne teased, lightly curling her fingers around Gawain's in return.

"She knows to keep the poisonous herbs separate from the teas, I promise," Asclepius added, "Actually, she does a lovely job preparing it." He smiled as he handed Nimue the honey and a lemon fork.

"When I am properly motivated." She chuckled as she sat next to Asclepius, giving him a smile. "Thank you."

As she prepared her tea her eyes went to Arthur. "All right then, my lord. We are all here."

"Yes, Well. I'm here. I've spoken to Poseidon... and rapidly come to the conclusion that yes, ladies and gentlemen, we should play to win if we have any hope for the rule of law rather than force for most people after this game is done." A wry smile. "And most of us were rather suckers for the concept once. Denise, I of course understand you're not technically part of the court, but we're still roughly on the same team. So I'd like to begin, please, with... what else do I need to know?"

"I do have something, sire," Gawain said quietly. "I have evidence that the Grail is somewhere in North America. I rather think, if we could find the Grail, our court would have a powerful trump card."

"I have been trying to scry for even a feel of it, but there has been some resistance to me doing a deep scry or even a summonings." She understood why Asclepius worried and gave his hand a squeeze under the table, but it was slightly frustrating to have her hands tied a bit.

"Don't push it too hard, Nina. Gawain, what's a way of narrowing this down?"

"Sire, I've heard of a lost manuscript said to be written by Emma Jung. That manuscript, if it does indeed exist, would likely contain clues about the Grail's location."

"You're the man with the books, Gawain. If Ms. Jung's manuscript exists, where is it likely to be?"

"Even before the emails, I was combing the rare book dealers' selections on both coasts without any luck. I suspect it most likely resides in a private collection somewhere. Whose collection, I have no idea."
