It had taken some time, but finally Seth had the time to make good on his promise to return to see Ciara in Vegas. Tara, also invited, sat in the seat to his left. The plane was privately owned so they wouldn't have to worry about formalities. Tyler sat quietly in the back, making sure everything was in order.

"You wanna get anything to drink?"

"I'm in the mood for an Abita if they sell it here. If not, I'll just go for ginger ale. I don't like to settle for the second-rate stuff, you know"

He smiles fondly. "You never did settle for second-best."

"C'mon, let's get those drinks. They're on me."

Tyler gave a brightened smile before following the boss and his girlfriend in.

The match soon began, and Ciara strutted into the ring with a fierce pride. She winked at her friends prior to the clang of the bell.

Her perfomance was magnificent, like very violent poetry in motion, and she managed to knock out exactly three teeth from her opponent, that she made sure her manager picked up.

"Damn," Tyler said after the fight. "Remind me never to piss her off."

"I'll make a note of it," Seth smiled, applauding.

Tara watches with interest. "You know, the dance degree makes perfect sense."

"You should see her dance. It's a thing of beauty."

The fight ended with an easy TKO, and Ciara was radiant with her glory when she left the ring.

"I saved teeth for y'all," she announced upon meeting back up with her friends.

"A thing of beauty, Ciara, really."

"Damn," Tyler said shaking his head. "The way they was hyping this fight on commercials I thought she'd last a little longer."

"That's awesome!" Tara says. "Aw, Boss, do you remember Anat's hand collection?"

"Bitch didn't know what she got herself into," Ciara said with a shrug.

She raised an eyebrow at Tara's question.
"So, it's not that weird to collect hands? Had a belt made out of 'em at one point..."

"It's perfectly normal as long as you had fun getting them!"

"Yeah, I do remember that," he said nostalgically. "We all had our hobbies."

He turns to Kali. "You're starting to get your old memories back?"

"A little. Been kinda looking up shit on her. Me. Whatever. Either way, it's fucking weird."

"First few years of it is never easy," Tara says sympathetically. "Least you've got all those cool pictures with your foot on your husband's chest and that cute little smile of his."

"Shiva?" Ciara said with a fainy chuckle. "Yeah, I guess so. Wonder what happened to him."

"He's probably around, somewhere. Just hasn't woken up yet."

"And doesn't check his e-mail. So. Hail the Conqueror and all that. What happens now?"

Ciara shrugged.
"If he shows up, he shows up. If not, I don't need him." She tapped her lips thoughtfully. "What are y'all in the mood for?"

"Well, Tara told me earlier she'd like to see the Luxor, unless you'd rather save that for later?" he asked, turning to Tara.

"That can wait, Boss. I'm not going to drag her around town when y'all haven't seen each other in a while."

Ciara shrugged.
"They got a decent buffet over there," she suggested, "I get an appetite after a match."

"We don't have to go to the Luxor to eat. There's a nice place not too far from here, plus it's nondescript enough that Ciara won't be mobbed by fans."
