Characters: Sif and Tyr
Date/Time: Thursday, April 12th
Location: Their house
Rating: Probably no more than PG13
Warnings: Possible TMI
Summary: You know that whole "Fertility Goddess" thing...?
Sif rubbed her head. She'd just been feeling... off the last few days. Maybe it was leftover from when they had their powers. Maybe it was just part of the stresses of getting back from their trip and working at her fledgling new bakery and planning her wedding... And maybe... just maybe...
She glanced at the clock. Tyr would be home soon. Tina was with her mother today. She looked at the little pink box. Normally she didn't run this late. She'd just take the test and put her mind at ease one way or another.
Heading into the bathroom, she followed the directions... and stared at the box. At the little line that didn't match the "control" box. She heard the door open and close--Tyr was home. A little numb, test still in her hand, she headed downstairs.
"Hi, sweetheart. How was work?" she asked.

"That's good. My assistant was much the same way."
She cleared her throat.
"So... Anything surprising happen today?"

"Oh, that must have been a riot!"
She smiled shyly.
"...I have a surprise for you, too."

He raises an eyebrow. "Oh?"

"...are you okay?"

"Yes, I know. There have been so many changes for her in the past few months. Her father dating again, getting remarried, moving, turning out to be a god... And now a new little brother or sister on the way. ...I hope she doesn't hate me for turning her life upside-down like this."

"Very true. And I'm sure little Tyr Junior will be a wonderful addition to the family," she said warmly, patting her still-flat stomach.

"Well, I only found out a few minutes ago. I haven't had much time to plan for names," she teased.

"I am. A healthy, strapping son for you," she said proudly. "Well, maybe. We won't be able to tell for sure for a few months yet at least... But I think it'll be a boy."

She grinned.
"How long do you want to wait before we announce it? Tell our parents... and Tina... our friends... OH! And I'm sure Frigg and Sigyn will be delighted by the news!"

"Yes, she certainly is." She paused. "...does she know yet where babies come from, exactly?"

"I think she's old enough to at least learn the basics. I mean, when I was her age, I knew more or less how things worked because I saw it all the time with the animals on nearby farms. She doesn't necessarily need to know the finer points of conception right now, but I think it'll be a good learning process for her as the baby develops."

She flashed him a mischievous grin.
"So. Excited?"

"I suppose this means we'll have to start turning the guest room into a nursery."
