open/incomplete
Characters: Asclepius, Nimue, open to all
Date/Time: Following check-in
Location: Bar of the Hôtel Jeu Ancien
Rating: TBD
Warnings: TBD
Summary: The two decide to get drinks while waiting for the meeting to start.
It took a little wandering, but, with Nimue arm-in-arm with him, Asclepius found the bar.
"Now, you said you'd like a mai tai, isn't that right, Miss Drake? I'm more a whiskey man, personally. Though, all things considered, since we were supposed to be having a tea together, perhaps a Long Island iced tea might be more appropos?"

Still, she tried for a smile for Asclepius but it was a little tight, her soft chuckle forced. "One Long Island Iced Tea and I might miss this gathering."
Looking towards the bar she came to a stop. "Oh you have got to be kidding me!"

He was still in the bellhop uniform.

"Are you the only staff this place has?" Asclepius asked, "Bloody hell. Well, all right, I'll have the best Scottish whiskey you've got. Give the lady anything the asks for. And, why not, whatever he wants too." He gestured over to Seth.

Aldo got the reference and was fighting the urge to strangle the little fool.

Asclepius looked at the other man curiously. "So... I'm afraid I don't recognize you offhand, Mr. Fizzini. What's your story?"

She had smiled politely to Mr. Fizzini when she was introduced but then her brows lifted when he really introduced himself. She huffed softly and didn't quite roll her eyes. "Indeed. I am Nimue."

"How is the mai tai, Miss Drake? Easing your nerves?" he asked, looking over at her.

"Some. I'd rather we get on with this so we can discover what this is all about." Her Brooklyn accent was possibly growing thicker.

"Say, Nigel... About how much longer do we have before we need to be reporting to the ballroom?"
no subject
"Oh. Well." He shifted his weight to over one hip with his fingers tapping his lips in thought. "Shouldn't be long now. If you'd like to take your drinks to the ballroom that is permitted."

"I can't feel any energies. None. Flatline. Even in a residually dead zone I would be able to feel something."

...then cried out in shock and pain, her hand flying to cover her eyes and part of her forehead.

"...blinding. Both of you."

"This confirms it. We're not in a world at all. We're in a place where time means nothing."
no subject
"So... if we're in a place where time means nothing... Does that mean we've gone back to being gods again?"

"Either way, I think this gathering is about to start. With luck, we'll find some answers there."
