"I'm really liking Lillian," Seph admitted suddenly as she cuddled up against him on the couch. Mom was taking a nap. "It scans well, and lilies are pretty."

"Lilian," he said, testing the name on his tongue. "It does have a pleasant ring to it." His arm was around her as his fingers softly caressed her arm.

Hades lowers his head for a moment, thinking along the same lines Persephone was.

"I would like to say yes, but I cannot say no either." He looks over at her. "I'll do my damndest to make sure she doesn't."

"Somewhat," he admits. "but Athena is there as well. She may not owe allegiance to me, but she has no desire to see humanity harmed either. If it is something significant, I trust she'll tell me."

An affirming sound. "Yeah, she knows what she's doing, probably." A pause. "We had that girl in the black and white facepaint at the shop again today. Perfectly pleasant, just kinda starstruck. I'm a little worried for her. The paint looks very historically accurate.... which doesn't bode well for her health."

"Yeah. Very nice. Very well researched... keeps coming in and buying potting soil like it's... well, not like. Buys potting soil /as/ a religious thing. Keeps saying that if the jerks in DC try anything, a lot of people'll have our back. Which is.... good? Except I have to think about that happening."
