Characters: Aphrodite and OPEN
Date/Time: Midmorning, Friday, October 19, 2012
Location: Sewing/craft room of La Maison Jeu Ancien
Rating: TBD
Warnings: Language maybe?
Summary: It's 'Dite's birthday, but she's avoiding a party.
Aphrodite had almost groaned when she realized what day it was. Her birthday. Ordinarily, she would bask in the well-wishes of others on this day, but... All things considered, she'd feel much happier not seeing any of her fellow godlings today.
Still, it had been a surprise to find the little silver package on the dinette table. Luckily, she had gotten to it before anyone else seemed to notice it. There was nothing to say who the giver was, but she had gasped upon opening it. A narrow length of gold was inside. She'd recognize it anywhere: her magic girdle. Just. Fucking. Perfect.
Hastily, she tucked the item away, and retreated, as usual, to the sewing room. Hopefully, she'd be left alone.

"Yes?" she called to the door, a slight edge of weariness in her tone.

"May I sit down?"

Aphrodite showed no interest in sitting down, apparently working on making a prototype for a child's outfit.

"It's coming along well."

"Fashion doesn't wait. Even if I'm here, I still have work to do," she said airily.

"We are thinking of calling her, Lillian. We haven't decided on a middle-name yet," Hades informed.

She pursed her lips thoughtfully at the chosen name.
"I'd suggest Theresa for the middle. But that's only my opinion," she said with a shrug.

"Lilian Theresa," he says as if testing it on his lips. "It sounds lovely, I'll have to mention it to Persephone.

"It means 'reaper.' I thought it might represent her heritage on both sides," she explained.

"But you didn't really come in here just to talk baby names, did you?"
