She found little amusement in her forced choice of clothing. However, after much diligence she'd discovered something that she felt was passable. Feathers after all were a fraction more reliable than spider webbing.

And with her ill mood she'd taken herself away from the main house and come to the gardens. It was warm and bright and the flowers were in bloom. It did nothing to improve her temperament. In fact, the air in the small, almost secluded corner she'd come to, turned decidedly cooler, and the grass beneath her bare feet began sparkling with frost. She could admit quietly to herself that she reached out to coat a vibrant red rose in crystal clear ice purely out of spite, small as the revenge might be.

"Quite frequently to be honest," he said, kissing her neck.

She rolled a little toward him so she was on her side. It was far easier to see him this way. "In Ireland?" She was curious and relaxed enough that she felt like actually talking.

Bres looks almost shy. "I..well..you were very striking, majestic, intelligent..so perhaps a bit."

"And I was just down the hall," she pointed out.

"Yes, but..I was unsure if you actually couldn't stand me or not."

She shrugged one shoulder. "Being around you was...frustrating. I did my best to make sure you felt the same way." There was no sense in not tell him the truth about that now

"Well, I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy our verbal sparring," he teased.

"How fortunate, as I have no intention of stopping."

"If you had I'd start wondering if I just had sex with an imposter."

"I assure you, I'm the real thing."

"Absolutely," he says, his hands guiding her head back for another kiss. When they part he continues. "Mmm, more than witty barbs come from those lips."

Her mouth curved up in a wicked little grin. "Wait until you see what else I can do with them."

He smirks back. "I look forward to it."

"Why wait? We both could do with a shower. Bathe with me and I can enlighten you a little."

Bres can feel his arousal grow with renewed interest. "Now how can any man say no to an offer like that."

"You're far more qualified to answer that question than I," she teased, sitting up. "Hand me my gown."

"As you wish," he says, giving a bow. He picks up her dress and hands it to her before starting to pick up his own clothes.
