Summary: Ari and Sita meet under unusual circumstances.
Ugh, another day. More work to be done. Ariadne sighed and forced herself to wake up.
Well... heck. This wasn't her apartment. And... since when were there women in her bed chained to her? Ari groaned.
"I'm going to try and pretend this is all a bad dream..."

"Um," she said, "I'm sorry." She didn't sound terribly sure of herself, though that was more due to the situation. The statement itself was true enough.

"...hmm. I think I've been here before. But the roommate and chain parts are definitely new," she mused.

At which point she realized she hadn't even introduced herself yet. "Sorry, I'm Tessa. Or Sita, I guess."
no subject
"All right, let's think about this logically. Gaia has been on a major push for us to work together. Well, certainly no better way to force that than to kidnap us and chain us up. So, whatever we do, it's got to be as a single effort."
no subject
"But what do we actually have to do?"
no subject
no subject
"No... I guess we get start looking?"

Carefully, so as not to yank the chain, she got out of bed and started looking around for any clue as to what needed to be done.

"Who's Nigel?"
no subject
"And I am seriously not seeing anything in here that indicates what we're supposed to be doing. Or finding anything really to eat. Stuff to make coffee, sure, but not actual food," she sighed. "I dunno--you want some coffee?"
no subject
"Here, let me make it. You sound hungry--call...Nigel and see if he can bring us anything. Or maybe give us a key for this." She jiggled her wrist and the cuff attached to it.
no subject
"Nigel? Is that you? ...yes, it's me. Listen, there's nothing to eat here in the room... Could we trouble you for some room service breakfast? ...yes, that'll be fine, thanks. Oh, and if you have a spare handcuff key, could you bring that? ...yeah, right. Very funny. Well, thanks anyway."
She looked to Sita.
"No can do on the key, apparently, but we'll have some food here in a little bit."
no subject
"Here's the coffee," she said, handing one of the mugs to Denise.
She glanced around then sat back down on the bed, unsure of what else to do. She sipped at her coffee. "I guess we wait for the food..."

"Nigel's usually pretty prompt. Annoying, but prompt. Honestly, I'm surprised he hasn't been more forthcoming on information. The first time we were here, he gave a whole presentation on what was going on."

Instead, she looked at Ariadne and went for the polite conversation route instead. "So, where are you from?"

((Sorry for the delay! RL has been insane.))

"Up until graduation, anyway," Ariadne joked, "Of course, these days, haven't most schools technically removed the pre-professional majors? I mean, you can still be labeled pre-medicine, pre-veterinary, pre-law, whatever, but that doesn't count as an actual major at a fair number of schools anymore. Like, we have a guy in our pantheon who's pre-law, but his official major is political science, if I recall right."
"So... what's your plan on the pre-med? Planning to go into any particular area of the medical field?"
no subject
no subject
"Well, we do have a very kind gentleman in the Greek pantheon who's one of the world's top medical minds. If you ever have questions, I'm sure Dr. Oram would be happy to help."
no subject
"Who is he? In the Greek pantheon, I mean." She hoped that wasn't a rude thing to ask.
