Characters: Lilith and Quetzalcoatl, open to rescuers
Date/Time: Midsummer 2013
Location: Somewhere in Faerie
Rating: TBD
Warnings: TBD. Depends on their willpower.
Summary: Quetzal goes off with Lilith to help protect her... but who's going to protect him from her?
After Alan and Ebony had decided to split up to cover more ground, Leo had volunteered to accompany her. He didn't like the idea of an expectant mother wandering off by herself in a place like this.
They'd hardly walked more than a few hundred feet when the air was filled with the mouthwatering scent of fresh-baked sopapillas. It took a deep pull of willpower for him to turn it down. Not to mention the dishes of brightly-colored hard candies that seemed to line the path.
Then the fog set in. Subtle and insidious, like a late-autumn mist it floated in, making things fuzzy, obscuring what lay ahead and what lay behind and where they were and... why they were there and... Had it always been like this?
"Ebony?" he asked uncertainly, though the rest of the question seemed to evaporate from his mind.

The candy had been hard to ignore. Cravings were monstrous, no pun intended, but she'd kept moving, finding having Leo with her to be a grounding thing. She was glad he was with her. She was always glad to have him by her side...wasn't she?
He called her name and she turned to him, reaching out a hand to him automatically. "I'm here, Leo."

"Sorry. I seem to have forgotten what I was going to say." He lightly squeezed her hand in an absent gesture of affection.
"You two doing ok?" he asked, gently touching her swollen belly.

"Because you already pounced me half to death after my last flights?" he teased.

Then she set her palm on Lilith's stomach and looked up to meet the other woman's eyes. "Do you want your child born in a foreign land to false parents?" she asked lowly.
