Summary: Puck and Percival meet up to paint the town red!

Puck was excited. Probably overly so. It didn't help that he'd already push the boundaries of overindulgence on sugar and caffeine that day, wanting to be ready for this. He'd not had a guys' time out with anyone except Oberon, and it was a very different experience being with his liege lord than one of the knights. And the former fairy was almost literally bouncing off the walls waiting for him.

Whistling as he went, Percival climbed the stairs to Titania's walk-up apartment. He too was looking forward to this -- he'd been wanting to meet other members of the Celtic pantheon since the baby shower he and Titania had gone to. And Puck was an honest-to-gosh fairy to boot! How cool was that? He'd come up with a list of things to do in the city and had it narrowed down to some good options. At least he hoped they were good.

He reached the door and knocked, still whistling, not knowing what to expect on the other side but looking forward to it nonetheless.

Puck answered, and beamed at him.
"Ah, good sir knight! My heart leaps with joy to welcome you!" he said, sweeping a low bow. "What pleasures have you planned for us today?"

Percival reflexively bowed in return. "Pleased to meet you!" he grinned back as he straightened. "Well, I have a few things lined up. I figure we'll start at my favorite bar, then maybe wander around the East Village for awhile and see where the evening takes us. There's tons of things to do there. How does that sound? I don't know what you and Titania have done already."

"Everything is a new adventure, I assure you, and I wish to experience all I can before this human body fails me. I shall dance in your footsteps, so do lead the way!" Puck said, all but bounding out the door. Nervous energy seemed to pour off him, waiting to be spent.

"Okay, let's go!" Puck's energy was contagious; Percival thundered back down the stairs and out the door to the street, his companion for the evening's footsteps close behind. "So," he said with a smile as they headed for the subway, "this is like your second trip to New York, right? How do you like it?"

"I've yet to find much I don't like," Puck said cheerfully. "But I have not lived here, and perhaps therein lies the difference. How do you like it here, good sir knight?"

Percival thought for a moment. "Well," he finally said, "I guess I must like it here, or I'd've moved someplace else by now. It's different than anywhere else I've lived, that's for sure. Good different." He led the way down the subway steps and pulled out two Metrocards, handing one to Puck. "Here, there should still be some fare left on it."

"Amazing what humans come up with, isn't it?" Puck said, with no small amount of amusement, as he made his way through toward the platform almost smoothly enough you'd think he was used to it. Almost.

"So, this bar of yours. What makes it your favorite?"

"It's a friendly place. A lot of us construction guys hang out there, so I know a lot of the regulars. And the beer is cheap," Percival grinned.

"Friendly is usually good," Puck said, nodding, "I've yet to have beer, though. I've had wine before, but this... will be something new to me."

Percival's face lit up. He got to show Puck something he hadn't experienced before! "I'll make sure you get some good stuff then," he beamed. It would never do for the fairy's first experience to be with crappy beer!

A train pulled up and they got on board. "It's not far, only a few stops," he nodded. "We won't even have to switch trains."
