Family Holiday

Characters: Persephone, Hades, Melinoe
Date / Time: October 31st
Location: The Mollet-Price residence, South San Francisco
Rating: Probably PG, -13 at most.
Warnings: none foreseen
Summary: Melinoe's visiting!

Persephone was baking yet another pie from the army of hefty-sized pumpkins she and Lili had grown. Her mother and Lili were asleep in the armchair in the other room at the moment. And Hades was supposed to be fetching their other little girl as she arrived.

Hades had quietly mentioned that PERHAPS Persephone was going overboard with the pies. She disagreed. So much for logic, he thought to himself. Still, he felt slightly warm inside knowing that he and Persephone would be reunited with Melinoe. So he didn't object when his wife asked him to pick their daughter up at the airport.

Sorry for the delay. I didn't see it! lol

Oh, flying was not exactly Melinoe's forte... still, it was a spell away from the occasional insanity that was New York, and it gave her an opportunity to see a new place. Not to mention her parents.

How long had it been? How long since she had been with her family? While it makes her miss Makaria and Zagreus all the more, it was a good step.

With her rolling carry-on, Melinoe makes her way to the waiting area, and keeps an eye out for her father.

No worries. :)

Hades stood vigilant, watching people go by. He hadn't seen her in person, but he knew her the instant he saw her. While he had felt cold, dark, an unemotional this day, seeing her broke through that haze, if even for a moment. He walked toward, a small smile that was practically a neon-sign to someone who knew his old self rarely expressed such emotion.

"Melinoe..it's been so long." His eyes blinked a bit.

She smiled, finding it curious that even without the setting of the Underworld, she was able to recognize the individual she had always known as her father. "It is good to see you, Papa. Though our appearances have changed but a little."

"Yes," and before he even realized it he was hugging her. "Dear, sweet Melinoe."
