The towel was flipped over his shoulder, and he studied his älskad carefully. Something was up. "You seem nervous. What did I do?"

Still really cute. lol
She is super cutie death.
"I messaged Quetzalcoatle and ask for his help. But he told me about what else I might expect from having his powers." See having someone else's abilities didn't overly bother her. It would pass. It was what could possibly happen with them that gave her pause. Not necessarily in a bad way, but still, it could potentially be life altering.
"He is a fertility god, Sean. He told me that prior to taking the vows, he had sired children on a great many women. He said that...it was near certainty."
She didn't bow her head, or drop her eyes. She just kept her pale gaze on him, calm, patient, waiting for whatever he might take from that. But there was a distinct glow of hope, somewhere hidden in the depths of her eyes.
I still love how she's the only one who calls him 'Sean'. So does he.
What mattered was what came next.
The words 'fertility god' and 'near certainty' somehow seeped in through the information she was telling him. The expression in her eyes told him everything, and how well he understood. They had both come to terms with the fact that as long as they were together, children were not an option. This, however...
Sean somehow managed to find his brain again, and his heart felt like it leapt to the heavens. He lifted his hands and cupped Hel's face as his gaze fell into hers and his tongue attempted to find words. "Are you sure?" Those weren't great words, Sean. Try again. "I mean..." He kissed her forehead, then her nose. "There are few things I'd like more."
