Summary: Solstice happens, and Hel has strange news.

After managing to get the wings to vanish at last, she goes to see Sean. She'd learned something very.... life altering from Quetzalcoatle, and she had to let him know right away. She was almost shaky with nerves, but she calmed herself as much as she could. She didn't want to pressure him in any way.

"Cher? Are you doing all right?"

He rubbed the towel over his hair, somehow having managed a shower without drowning himself. Sean nods at Hel's question and chuckles, raising an eyebrow in thought. "As well as I can be. Better question is are you all right?"

The towel was flipped over his shoulder, and he studied his älskad carefully. Something was up. "You seem nervous. What did I do?"

Still really cute. lol

"Okay then," he said, doing as she'd asked of him. As he sits, he reaches up to brush an unruly lock of dark hair away from her eyes. There were few things he could do without. Those eyes were not one of those things. "What's up?"

I still love how she's the only one who calls him 'Sean'. So does he.

At the mention of 'green wings', Sean's eyebrows had something of an aerobic moment: Lift straight up in surprise... and furrow in some confusion. Hel didn't mention just how Quetzalcoatl had helped her make them go away. Not that it mattered.

What mattered was what came next.

The words 'fertility god' and 'near certainty' somehow seeped in through the information she was telling him. The expression in her eyes told him everything, and how well he understood. They had both come to terms with the fact that as long as they were together, children were not an option. This, however...

Sean somehow managed to find his brain again, and his heart felt like it leapt to the heavens. He lifted his hands and cupped Hel's face as his gaze fell into hers and his tongue attempted to find words. "Are you sure?" Those weren't great words, Sean. Try again. "I mean..." He kissed her forehead, then her nose. "There are few things I'd like more."
