Summary: Seth makes good on his promise to come to Vegas to see his favorite boxer.

Things were relatively quiet in New York right now, which allowed Seth to take his much-anticipated vacation to Vegas. It had been some time since he'd last been here, but he was looking forward to it. In particular he was looking forward to the night's festivities. He entered the stadium, ticket's in hand as Tyler brought up the rear. He had purchased seats to the upcoming boxing match. He enjoyed boxing in and of itself, but this time he had an ulterior motive. Tonight his favorite female boxer was competing. Ciera "The Black Destroyer" Talbot. Who apparently was something more than she seemed. She herself didn't know, but frankly that wasn't why he was here. When he had first seen her years ago he felt drawn to her, but had remained in his funk regarding Nephythys. But that was then, he wouldn't make the same mistake twice.

"As a matter of fact I do. I can have someone bring us a car in no time." Seth puts in the necessary call. He could have had Tyler do it, but he wanted the man to have some fun while he was here.

"Nice. So, how long a wait we got, shug?"

"Just a couple minutes." He pauses for a moment to glance over at her. "You seem to be awfully comfortable with someone you meant over an internet chatroom, especially one you were forced into. I don't strike you as possible dangerous?"

"Babycakes, I beat the shit out of people for a living. So, naw. Ain't scared," she said.

He smirks. "Curious then?"

"Maybe. I ain't exactly Little Miss Goody-Two-Shoes either, y'know," she said, "Why?"

"Just trying to get an idea of the woman behind the legend. Sorry if I came across as creepy with the questions." After he spoke, a limousine pulls up. "Our chariot is here."

"Shug, considering the crowd I used to run with, you ain't anything close to creepy."

"Chariot, huh? What's next, a white horse?" Ciara teased.

"Why thank you. Every man likes to hear he isn't creepy at least once it their lives." He smiles wryly.

"Don't tempt me, that could be arranged." He opens the car door, offering to let her in first.

"You really take the whole 'gentleman' thing serious, don't you, sugar?" Ciara said, sliding in. "Gotta admit, ain't used to that. Even back home in Mississippi, weren't a lot of Southern gents where I was."

"I used to be a chauvinist pig, and it cost me something important. I learned from the experience and I like to think I'm better for it." He gets inside. "That and it gives one an excellent opportunity to admire a lady from the back," he teases playfully.

Ciara laughed.
"That so, babycakes?" she said, grinning.

"Yes, and it was a nice view," he replied, half-teasing, half-serious. "If you give the driver your address we should be able to get there in no time."

Ciara gave her address to the driver.

"Glad you liked it," she said, smiling as she rested a hand on his knee.

Rather than be surprised by the bold move, he welcomed it. He slid a little closer to her, but still maintaining a level of space between them. "You're a bold woman." His tone indicated he more than approved.

"Well, if I didn't, I'd still be stuck in dirt-poor Mississippi back alleys," she said, "You gotta take your chances while you've got 'em, and not be scared of change."

Seth practically beamed, but managed to rein himself in. "I have a similar philosophy. I admire a bold woman."

"Sounds like the start of something wonderful," she said, tossing her hair back.

Seth smiled, but said nothing. He agreed with her assessment, but remembered the last time he had thought such about a woman. Then again..he was a different man now, and Ciara was no Nephythys.

"We're here, Ms. Talbot," the driver called from the front.

"You want me to wait here?" Seth offered.

"You can come up, if you want, sugar," she said, "Won't take me too long."

She headed up to her condo, which was surprisingly sparsely furnished for such choice living quarters. Only the necessities, in the current fashion, and nothing extraneous. Its biggest luxury seemed to be wasted space. Certainly a far cry from the plush surroundings Aphrodite liked.

"It'll just be a sec, babycakes," she said, heading back to her room.

He decides to follow her inside. He had to admit he liked it. He wasn't as spartan as she was, but he tended to go for less ostentatious displays in regards to his home himself. At least as simple as a compound could be.

"I'd said 'no rush', but that may imply that I'm not eager. So I'll stick with 'okay'." He smiles, flirting a little.

It was maybe ten minutes before she came back out, having switched her boxing clothes for a short black dress and heels, her hair falling in soft curls around her shoulders, and just enough makeup to emphasize her features--certainly not an overdone look.

"Ready, babycakes?" she asked.

Seth took a moment to just take her in. She was a vision of beauty and power in one enticing package.

"Absolutely. You look lovely."

"Aww, thanks. So. Y'all's the new kid in town. Where do you want to take me?" she asked.

"I've been here a couple times, though I never went to the clubs. Any favorites of yours you'd like to go to?"
