Summary: The sea prince turns pirate for the Halloween ball...

The Greek houses were having a communal Halloween party, and, naturally, it was bound to get crazy. Triton held his Chi Phi brothers above the usual standards, but he knew there was bound to be temptation. Triton normally wasn't a fan of Halloween. Costumes? Really? Hadn't he outgrown it years ago? His brothers had actually furnished his costume for him: Captain Jack Sparrow, of all things. Still, they had sprung for a quality version of it, and, Triton was loathe to admit, it actually suited him in an odd sort of way.

He was heading back toward the main party room, when he stopped short.

This was a very strange place, and one he'd never seen the likes of before. Suddenly, his head felt strangely fuzzy, but he knew better than to assume it was because of drinking. He hadn't even touched anything like that.

"What is going on?" he demanded aloud.

Nigel's head came up from his magazine at the demand for information and immediately he bustled his way out from behind the counter.

"Captain Jack Sparrow!" He took the befuddled and disguised hand of Triton and pumped it enthusiastically. "What an honor it is to have you on board, sir."

"Well, Captain, I do hope you're in a celebratory frame of mind," Nigel said, bowing slightly as he released the Captain's hand. "The ballroom is down the hall there-- and please do note that the bar is to your left as you walk in."

"I believe our musicians can oblige you with 'Sir Roger de Coverly' quite easily, Captain," Nigel replied. "As for luck, I'm afraid you'll have to ask them yourselves."

This time Celeste had been walking into the student union, looking for coffee. She felt some strange disorientation and wondered about low blood sugar as she stepped through the door...

... T'Selek, Vulcan science officer of the USS Olympus was, if such a word could be applied to her, puzzled. She raised an eyebrow quizzically, as if the presence of a reproduction of an ancient terrestrial hotel where the officer's mess was could be explained merely by her detailed scrutiny.

"Good evening, ma'am," Nigel said, politely but briskly-- no matter what what oceans they sailed in, most officers were apt to be sticklers for efficiency and protocol. He could respect that, even if it made his job difficult at times. "The ballroom is just beyond there," he said, pointing the way, "though its logic may be...difficult to comprehend at first."

"Ballroom?" She raised an eyebrow. "I was not aware of an event."

T'selek/Urania raised the other eyebrow. "If your attempt is to establish a false camaraderie as a prelude to a seduction attempt, I must inform you that you will fail."
