Summary: It's finally time to bring Melpomene home... and introduce her to Apollo's dear friend.

It had been more than a week. Close to two, really. Sure, Apollo respected Melpomene's need to gather her thoughts and such--not to mention it had given him an excuse to visit Arthur--but now it was time to bring his Muse home.

It was chaotic on campus, what with everyone moving out of the dormitories and frat houses. He paused in front of Chi Phi. It occurred to him that the last time he was here, he had run into Medusa. He shook his head, clearing away that thought, and proceeded up to the front door, knocking.

"I'm here to see Boden Murphy. More specifically, the young lady keeping him company. A Miss Melody Chantry," he explained to the young man who answered the door.

"YO! MURPH! Some guy's here, wanting to talk to you and Red!" the boy yelled up the stairs.

She smirked at his scolding. Apparently, the sea prince had decided he still was telling her what to do. But she didn't necessarily have to listen. "No, you said I should dress. Not that I had to."

"I honestly don't see what my being dry or wearing pants has to do with my ability to hold a conversation." She'd been fairly obedient since she'd gotten here (fairly being the operative word) and since it wasn't going to get her hella-laid anymore, she didn't see why she couldn't be a bit rebellious.

"Very well. Next time I will dispense with the niceties," Triton retorted. "Go dress. Now. You know perfectly well the rules of decorum in this house, and since you have not yet left, you are still bound to them."

Ah so he still wanted to run with their deal, at least until she was off the property. She briefly thought about telling him to bite her, but decided against it.

Instead, she grinned at him. "Yes, sir." And turned around and headed up the stairs again.

Apollo blinked. That wasn't the response he would have expected out of Melpomene. Not that gleeful obeisance. What on earth had the sea prince been doing with his Muse? he wondered.

"She definitely seems healthy, yes," Arthur finally says.

"Of course she is," Triton scoffed, "Hospitality at the very least requires seeing to the needs of the guest. She was well-fed while here."

Mel was never the kind of woman that took great pains getting dressed. So she was back on the stairs rather quickly, wearing the same tank top and shorts she'd arrived in. Her hair still wet. She didn't have her duffel or her shoes, since she wasn't ready to just waltz out the door. That time would come soon enough anyway. "So you wanted to talk?"

"Did you enjoy your holiday?" Apollo asked as casually as he could muster.

"It had its moments." She glanced at Triton and her lips quirked up in amusement.

She finally acknowledge the presence of the fourth person. "I see you brought a friend."

"Ah, yes. This would be Arthur. I promised to introduce you. So, I stopped in Nebraska and picked him up along the way," Apollo said cheerfully.

He nods politely. "Good to meet you, Mel."

She gave Arthur a swift once over, but addressed Apollo. "I'm guessing you had your moments too."

"Something we can all discuss at another venue," Apollo laughed. "Are you ready to go, my delight? Have all your things collected?"

"I can have someone fetch them," Triton said, and signaled to one of his fraternity brothers to go get Mel's duffel bag for her.

Arthur just continues looking the place over.

"I guess so." The guy who goes for.her bag would find it packed a much as it could be. Mel traveled incredibly light.

When her bag arrived she took the practically limp thing, and moved further down the steps.

"If you're ready, then," Apollo said genially, guiding her toward the door, "We'd best get out of all the traffic."

He looked to Triton.
"Thank you for being hospitable."

Since she was on her way out, Mel couldn't leave without at least attempting to get the last word, or laugh, or whatever, as the case might be. She stopped and slipped away from Apollo smoothly.

"Oops, I almost forgot!" Yeah, like she really 'forgot' this. She moved to Triton, grabbed him by his shirt front and kissed him. Not just a smooch or a peck, no it was deep, heavy and demanding, much like her whole week with him had been. Of course, she didn't want to give him time to push her away, so she kept it brief. When she pulled back, she smiled saucily at him. "See you later, sweetness."

Triton simply nodded in response, as seemingly imperturbable as ever, despite the few wolf whistles he could hear from his housemates.

"Safe travels," he said calmly.
