Summary: There's a new face in the crowd tonight...

Lilith was just about at that magical point between the first and second trimester where curves were filling out, but she didn't yet look "pregnant." Her patrons adored her for it.

One man in particular took an interest in her performance that night. He approached her after she had finished her set.
"Might I offer to treat you to some chicken fried rice?" he asked, smirking.

He paused.
"...got a name picked out yet?" he asked.

She stood up from her seat, barely controlling the urge to slap him. "Thanks for dinner."

She put her back to him and headed for the door. She resisted the urge to put her hand over her belly again, and instead walked a deliberate, heel-toe, hip swaying stride. He was not going to get the pleasure of scaring her off. She was choosing to leave his abominable company, her way.

"Just remember... the others need you. And you need them." The words weren't so much spoken as simply... heard.

"And we all need you like a hole in the head." She didn't look back as she said it, and she didn't mutter it either. Let people wonder.

But she was digging out her phone as she walked. This definitely warranted a late night, long distance phone call.
