All was in readiness. All of his guests were arrived and waiting, some more patiently than others. He anticipated quite a few reactions and a veritable bevy of questions. He was prepared.

He was testing out the slide projector while he waited for his guests to arrive in the ballroom, clicking through pictures of himself made specifically for this test. He paused on one of him before the front desk in a classic, male underwear model post yet still wearing his uniform. "Oh yes. One of my best."

Celeste raised her hand. Granted, her sense of reality had been stretched by the last couple of... however long she'd been here... but, well, that didn't mean she was going to blindly accept things.

Even though the projector was shining right in his face, he didn't miss the hand in the air. He smiled in her direction and pointed to her.

"Oh, how polite. Thank you, my dear. You have a question?"

"I'm no theologian, but there are still places where polytheism still is practiced," Celeste pointed out. "In the 'Far East', I mean -- Japan still has Shinto as a major religion, and India has Hinduism. And you didn't mention Africa at all." She didn't remember what China was up to, or Southeast Asia. What a time to be without Wikipedia. "Also, if you don't mind two questions... do you have any proof of this? I mean, I'll concede that today -- or however long we've been here -- has been an exercise in weirdness, but..."

... But there were ways to be weird without being reincarnated gods. And, even if they were -- which at least fit with the messages she'd been getting, and everyone else's beliefs -- why assume the weird hotel manager's theories were any better than anyone else's?

His lips twitched into a bit of a smirk as he spread his hands a bit, gesturing to his audience. "And you will notice that none of them are represented here."

For her question his brows lifted with a couple of blinks of his eyes. Immediately after they scanned over the assembled. She perhaps was not entirely awakened, but that wasn't his problem.

He got a patient, but condescending smile on his face as he looked back to Urania and clasped his hands together. "It is not the establishment's responsibility to instill faith. You either have it or you don't. And, as you will realize when I move things along, without faith you will not only accomplish nothing, but you will hinder your compatriots."
