Summary: Frigg misses Apollo, and he hates to disappoint...

Apollo kept hoping that this would be the perfect distraction. He was still grieving the sudden loss of Urania. The night before, Erato had joined them, and he had cherished his time with his two remaining Muses. For today, at least, he had a promise to keep. Erato had promised to stay with Melpomene until Apollo returned, so he trusted they'd be safe for the time being. Or so he hoped. But, no, no... Best to just think about making the most of his visit to New York. Frigg was waiting for him.

He had only brought one bag, and carried it with him off the plane. He scanned the crowds to look for her. He was easy enough to find, he was sure. Even in a place as diverse as a New York City airport, the tall, blond, British glowing chap was hard to miss.

"What song is that?" Frigg asked as she worked.

"One older than us both," he said with a grin.

"You should know better than to joke about a woman's age," she teased. "What kind of sauce do you like?"

"More that some things never truly age," he countered. "And... surprise me."

"True." She smirked. "Okay, but don't say I didn't give you a choice in the matter."

"I enjoy an adventure, love. And I trust you," he said.

"Famous last words." She decides to be nice this time and not use the really spicy stuff. She sets the stove for about fifteen minutes. "Okay, it'll be a bit before I can finish this up."

"In that case," he said holding out a hand to her, "Might I have this dance?"

"Hmm, I suppose you could," she says, accepting his hand.

Apollo expertly placed his hands and glided around the room with her to the music.

And she'll happily move along with him. She doesn't say anything, just enjoying the moment.

"You're a fine dancer, love," he said, smiling appreciatively as he twirled her around.

"Thanks," she said graciously. "It's kind of a family trait. Mother can dance, my sister can dance, and even my brother can, though he won't admit it." Suddenly yipping can be heard as a small dog comes running into the kitchen. He looks up at Apollo suspiciously, yipping but not being aggressive, yet. "Aw, there you are, baby. You were sleeping again, weren't you? Apollo, this is my dog, Thor."

"Hey there, mate," Apollo chirped, letting the dog sniff his fingers, "You can probably smell the wolf, can't you?"

The little dog looked at him, sniffed his fingers, and seemed to give Apollo a "I'm watching you" look before standing on his hind legs for his mommy's pets. Frigg chuckles, petting little Thor loving. Satisfied, he moves over to a spot in the corner before laying down.

"He likes you, or at least is tolerating your presence," she teases.

"Always a pleasure to know the animal kingdom tolerates me," Apollo laughed.

Frigg laughed as well, but slyly brought a hand to the back of his head. "Don't worry, Guapo. There are those who do more than tolerate you." She pulled him in for a kiss.

Apollo eagerly kissed her back, wrapping her up in his warm, strong arms.

Wait..was there something about pasta? Oh it could wait. Her own kisses became more thorough as she wrapped her own arms around him in turn.

"Mm. If this is the appetizer, I can't wait to sample the main course," Apollo teased gently after several minutes of kissing.

She chuckles wryly. "I admit I'm getting pretty hungry myself. We better stop before I ravage you here in the kitchen."

"Very well. Ravishment for dessert, then," he agreed.

"Agreed," she said with a smirk. She goes back to the stove, quickly and efficiently setting out a plate of pasta for each of them. "Eat hardy."

"It looks delicious," he said, stealing one quick bite, "And tastes even better."

"Thank you. There are benefits to being the goddess of homemaking," she says cheerily.
