She had Sean's present in her arms as she hunted the halls. She walked by the library and noticed the door a little ajar. She pushed it open a little further and poked her head it to see if anyone was in there.

"Agreed." She trailed a hand down his body, until her fingers were lightly brushing along where his tail began. "So I believe you're supposed to be showing me something new."

He shivered faintly at the caress.
"I don't think you've seen the gills before," he said, turning his head enough that she'd be able to see the delicate slits along his neck.

"No, I haven't." She used her other hand to gently touch the slits.

Despite him breathing the air normally, the little flaps of skin fluttered softly with every breath.
"Of course, they're much better noted underwater," he said, slipping back down under the surface.

There the gills went to work, moving gracefully as he breathed the water. Triton gave her a couple minutes to admire them, but then moved to kiss her. At least, in part. He soon began to breathe for the both of them.

She had to remind herself not to breathe through her nose, but she eventually found the right rhythm of kissing and breathing with him.

After a few minutes, he brought her back to the surface. Just because he could breathe chlorinated water didn't mean he particularly enjoyed doing so.
"Of course, the tail is probably the most obvious," he remarked.

"I did notice it earlier," she said with a smile. And again her hand drifted down to explore the tail, fingers caressing the beautiful scales, going with the grain.

His tail rippled with muscular strength, though the shimmering scales were perfectly smooth, almost silken to the touch. Triton did gasp slightly as she brushed over some of its more sensitive areas, not the least being the few seemingly loose scales that covered his inguinal slit.

She watched his reactions, and though she knew he'd likely tell her so, she couldn't help but ask when he gasped at her touches. "I'm not hurting you, am I?"

He shook his head.
"No, it doesn't hurt. But it's not just a solid mass of muscle. There are other... structures in there, and some spots are more sensitive than others."

"Like here?" She drew her fingers across that spot that had made him gasp before, the one with the scales that felt somehow looser.

A shiver rippled through his body at the touch.
"Yes, that's one of them," he said. "My inguinal pouch is under there."

"And that's for?" She repeated the gesture seeing his involuntary shiver.

"Penises aren't particularly hydrodynamic, especially when their only use for a merman is for mating," he quipped.

"Point taken." She considered his anatomic differences for a moment, wondering just how interesting this experience was going to get. "Anything else I should know?"

"Actually... yes. It's not that I don't want this to happen, I do, but... My underwater form has anatomy closer to a male dolphin than a human, and... well, a human girl would likely suffer serious injury from a mating. I know you're strong and tough and you'll probably be able to handle the physical stress involved, however, I'm considerably larger in this form, and the ejaculate is a lot more forceful. Not to mention, underwater sex tends to wash away natural lubrication, and with all those factors combined... Once I'm in... I might not be able to pull back out until after we're finished," he admitted.

That was certainly something to think about. And she did, carefully. After a moment she met his eyes and nodded. "Okay."

He gently touched her cheek.
"You're sure? I don't want to hurt you, or make this too much of a gamble."

From his vague description and simple logic, she figured it would hurt some. But she was currently a goddess so now was the opportune time to test her physical limits. Also, if they ended up gods on a permanent basis, it'd be nice to know their options for being together. "I'm sure. You know how I hate to pass up a chance to learn something new."

"All right, then. If you're sure," he said, and kissed her soundly.

She kissed him back, her body melting against him. She intended to give herself over to the whole experience and not thinking. Not thinking would be best so she didn't get overly nervous. She would probably need to be as relaxed as she could get.

His kisses became more passionate, probing deeply, or running along her neck. His hands slid over her wet skin expertly. And, slowly, the scales along his inguinal slit began to separate, allowing the tip to peek out.

As much as she tried to just lose herself in the moment, she absolutely noticed when there was a sudden, if light (for now), press against her abdomen. And knowing what that would be made her breath hitch a little before she controlled it again. "How should we do this?"

"Much like we usually do. I'll be as careful as I can."
