After the presentation, Tyr and Sif approached Odin to reunite as well as to discuss more pressing matters. Tyr gave a nod of his to Odin. "It is good to see you, All-Father. If only circumstances were less..urgent."

"I agree, All-Father. It's really been too long. You've been missed," Sif said, smiling. "It's good that we're all together again."

He looked thoughtful, a lot less the playboy persona he puts out there but smiled when Tyr and Sif approached him. He gave them a nod, but caught the Sif's hand, lifting it to place a light kiss to her fingers. "Lady Sif. As lovely if not more than I remember." He released her hand as quickly as he caught it. "Tyr." It was almost as if the lack of their fellow Asgardians was apparent in how he said their names.

He had that mug of mead in his hand which was lifted for a drink. "Good. Yes. Better than originally thought, apparently."

"You're too kind," she said graciously.

"I take it you've already begun a plan, All-Father? We will be happy to help in any way we can."

"There's a clay bottle on the table." He nodded to Tyr before pointing to the bottle in question. "Bring it over. This shouldn't be a dry conversation."

He waited until Tyr had brought back the mead and mugs for him and Sif before saying anything more, his expression somewhat grim. "Plan? Not so much. I don't have enough to go on, but there are certain facts that are clear to me."

"What are your thoughts, All-Father? It's unfortunate there aren't more of us here, but we are brave, resourceful, clever, and more than competent enough to regain the glory of Asgard," Sif said.

He nodded to Sif's words. Yes, they were Asgardians. The blood of warriors ran through their veins and souls, but he of all people knew that sometimes that wasn't enough.

He smirked for Tyr's correction then lifted his mug so that his words wouldn't travel past these two. "The Greeks outnumber us, but they don't have their king." He smirked. They had him. "And they are notoriously at each other's throats."

"They have their proud and their fair, but no true leadership," Sif agreed, "Brother will fight brother for the throne, and the rest will be disorganized chaos. The Celts are hardly better off--a lone knight and a hedge witch. They lack their leaders as well. And of the Egyptians... only one man. A treacherous one, I have little doubt, but one man all the same."

She smiled. "We may be outnumbered, but we have the advantage, I would say."

"Sif has it right." He nodded to her, acknowledging what she said then looked to the both of them. "We wait, and watch. Let them scheme against each other, do the work for us. Meanwhile keep our ears and eyes open. Nigel said we'd get clues. One of us hears something, keep the other two informed. Privately."

"Of course, All-Father," Sif said.

"This... this may only be a mere hunch, but my intuition tells me that perhaps our first clue may come from our own people. The people who once worshipped us, they came in droves to one particular region. Why do you suppose it might be? Perhaps they, too, are drawn to Asgard. I suggest it might be possible to at least narrow it down to the Northern Midwest: the Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin... Still a vast area, I realize, but better than trying to search the entire country."

He held up hand to both of them. They were getting ahead of themselves. He could understand why, but running all over wouldn't do them any good.

"First, the norse settled all over the place. Yes, the northern midwest is known for our people, but so is Oregon. Philadelphia. New Jersey. And second," he gave Tyr a reassuring smile. "Let's worry about getting out of here first before we even start thinking about running all over the the states. You won't be gone from your little girl."

"Very well. We bow to your wisdom, as always," Sif said.

"As for getting out of here... Four elements are needed, he said. We have Earth..." Sif smiled. "Air..." she glanced at Tyr. "Even with all of us, we'll need help, though."

"Hey." He reached out and put his hand on Tyr's shoulder, a reassuring if still somewhat pensive smile on his face. "I'm not going to tear families apart. I'm not Greek." He smiled and squeezed Tyr's shoulder then took his hand back.

"Yes. But that was made abundantly clear as well. No one group can do this alone."

"We're a family. All of us. And that means no one gets left behind," Sif promised.

"Who do you suggest we approach first, All-Father? The Greeks' Sun god seems a likely possibility to get Fire on our side. He seems affable enough to be willing to work with us."

He had nodded slightly at the mention of Apollo. He seemed like a decent fellow, but he had someone else in mind as well. "There's him for Fire. Or Hades. Or Seth for that matter. Desert god. Maybe Earth too, though Sif here would do just as well."

He ran his hand over his mouth as he considered Water. Where was Njord when they needed a sea god because turning to Poseidon was just...ugh. "What about those muses? Or the Arthurians? I don't know much about them and am seriously lacking a couple of ravens to find out for me."

"If one of the Muses works with water, I'd put my money on the little one. The other seems too... cut-and-dried. I'd be more inclined to say she's with Air, and we have that already in Tyr," Sif said.

"Regardless, we have the elements one way or another." He rubbed at the corners of his mouth, his brows coming down. "Poseidon's a jerk, but he wants to get back to his daughter. I think in this he'll comply, but we have to handle it where we won't owe him something."

"...so, we're to speak with Apollo and Poseidon both?" Sif asked, "And then they, along with Tyr and myself, will help to find the way back to the mortal world? And are we going to all go to speak with them about forging this temporary alliance... or just one, to sweet-talk them?"

"Sif, I would rather you weren't anywhere near Poseidon." His brows came down disapprovingly. "I saw the bruises on that woman's arm and how he was with her. I would rather not put you in that position."

He grumbled out a sigh before taking another drink of mead. "Tyr, you and Sif speak with Apollo. I'll take the abusive sea god."

"I was not intending to provoke him, nor seduce him, All-Father. But, as you wish. Better safe than sorry." Sif smiled, to show she had no ill-will. "The best of luck to you, All-Father. Where shall we meet you when our task is complete?"
