She is not a morning person. Without her alarm clock she would sleep at least until mid-morning naturally. And as that alarm clock was not there, she was sleeping soundly, curled on her side.

Apollo looked around. The room was beautifully furnished, but not many things that were good for smashing.
"What did you have in mind? Not a lot of hammers. And the artwork is all on the walls."

Her look was cool and unamused. "You asked for a suggestion. I gave one. Come up with something better if you're able."

He shrugged.
"I'm just noting the utter lack of makeshift hammers in this room. Still, looks like we might be stuck together for a while."

Not if she had anything to say about it. "I am not so quick to resign myself," she replied tersely.

Folding the covers back brusquely, she slid her legs off the edge of the bed. The chain clanked softly with the slight increase of tension. It made her look over at him haughtily. "I intend to rise."

"Have to take me with you for now," he said, following her, and acting as if oblivious to his lack of clothing.

"I am well aware," she commented dryly. Expecting him to follow as he must, she rose from the bed and strode across the room to the wardrobe. She did not even glance back at him, because she was fully aware of his state of undress. He had been over top of her after all, and she wasn't unobservant. She was simply refusing to acknowledge it.

Aware of the obstacle of the chain, she flung open the wardrobe, and efficiently, if a little impatiently, picked through the available clothing.

"You'd look smashing in that one," Apollo said, indicating an ice-blue wrap dress.

"When I need your opinion, I'll ask you for it." She chose something far different than what he'd suggested; a lace up pencil skirt (http://media.victoriassecret.com/product/380x507/V345391_093.jpg), a black halter top (http://www.victoriassecret.com/clothing/bra-tops/add-2-cups-halter-bra-top?ProductID=109107&CatalogueType=OLS), and matching underwear and heels. Her choices made she scanned for a bathroom, once her eyes latched onto the most likely door, she granted him one more acknowledgement. "I advise you to find your own clothing swiftly. I won't stand her all day in my night clothes waiting for you."

Apollo shrugged.
"I'll wait to dress until I've exhausted a few of our options," he said.

Her only response is a single, silent brow raise. Then she turns and strides to the bathroom, again expecting him to give her no resistance.

At the door, she eyed the length of the chain with a scowl. What was Gaia's game with this. Perverted, invasive creature. She would have to stand nearly on top of the door to have room to move. But there was no way she was simply going to change with him looking on. He could be pressed up to the door for all she cared for his comfort in the matter.

"What's wrong? Afraid I'm going to catch a glimpse of your charms? A bit late for that, love," he quipped.

Her response was to close the door on him. She had to push to get it to slid into place around the chain, but it did eventually wedge shut with the sound of wood grinding against metal.

Apollo just waited. Melpomene put him through worse on a regular basis.
"You do realize that really didn't change anything?" he pointed out when she emerged.

"Perhaps not for you." But for her it certainly had. Wearing clothing set the tone of her mindset. She was dressed and ready for business, and the clothing also acted as a sort of subtle armor against him. "This is no holiday, Sun God. I have no intention of lounging about half dressed."

She was making remarkably good eye contact with him as well.

"And exactly what business is it that you expect to be able to conduct from here?" he asked.

"The business of unattaching myself from you."

"Let me try something," he said. a moment later, he'd taken on his wolf form, and was fighting mightily to release his paw from the chain. The big wolf growled and whined and bit and thrashed, but it was no use. Eventually, he returned to his human form, as naked as ever.

"Damn. Worth a shot, though."

Gaia's tricks were becoming increasingly annoying. Since the last little interference, she'd long since decided that the goddess would pay dearly for the indignities that were being thrust upon her. And this being bound to Apollo was just reaffirming that decision.

"Another pointless puzzle then. Gaia must be deeply bored."

"I doubt it's entirely pointless. She says she wants us working together. A bit crude, but certainly an effective method to have enforced togetherness," the sun god mused.

"So, all right, clearly conventional methods aren't going to work. And even slightly unconventional ones..." He paused, drumming his fingers thoughtfully. "I don't suppose you're hungry? Thinking always seems to work better for me on a filled stomach."

"If you must." She had no objections to food in general, but she wanted out of the damn chain sooner as opposed to later. But even she had to admit that some reflection would be in order to figure out Gaia's little puzzle.

Apollo moved toward the kitchen area of the suite, exploring the cupboards and mini fridge. He laughed at what he saw.
"Not much, but there's bread, honey, tea and lemon. That's enough to get started, at least. Now... you like your bread untoasted with the honey, isn't that right?"

She narrowed her eyes at him. The observation was accurate, but she distinctly disliked how he was easily able to guess such a detail about her. It reminded her too closely of the last time he'd made an observation about her, which had not ended well.

"Indeed," was her only reply.

Apollo whistled cheerfully to himself as he started making up something that resembled breakfast: Tea with honeyed bread.

"There we go. To your liking, I hope."

She'd had to keep on her feet while he puttered about, less she be dragged by the chain. Once he'd finished and presented the simple fair, she seated herself, one leg crossing over the other.

She made no comment as she tasted her tea. It wasn't hardly sweet enough, and she reached for the honey to add a much more generous amount.

"There are some sugar packets over there too, if you want them," Apollo said, taking a long draught of his tea.
