Characters: Bres and Hanuman
Date/Time: May 1st.
Location: A room in L'Hotel de Jeu Ancien
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Likely language and perhaps attempted violence on Hanuman
Summary: Bres and Hanuman must work together to escape..without a potential homicide.
While it had been strangely liberating to remain in Fomorian form for so long, not to mention the time spent with Mab during it, it was a relief to finally be able to change back to his Tuatha form. It gave him a greater sense of peace-of-mind..well more peaceful given Bres' constant fluctuating mindset. Lately his thoughts were on the things said between him and Mab when their traits were removed..it was a lot to consider. He'd spent a lot of time thinking about it the previous night before falling asleep in his study-chair, so his clothes, while casual, were not nightclothes. Wait..if he'd fallen asleep in his study-chair..then how the hell did he wind up in a bed? He opened his eyes and stretched, only to notice the chain attached to his wrist. "What is this?" And then he noticed the chain was attached to another body sleeping in the bed. "Hey, wake up! I need answers!"

He scratched his head again. "Okay, so your changing thing didn't work, my super strength didn't work, and I'm betting there's no bolt cutters around here so... Let's just try to get out of here and see if anyone else is around and if they have a key." Without waiting for agreement, Hanuman spun on his heel and started towards the door. His higher level strength belied his lean form and his movement actually jerked Bres after him to some degree.
Unfortunately, the doorknob didn't turn under Hanuman's hand. "Well... Fuck."

"Uh, hey, I can't see the mirror from this angle," he began, "so do you think you can tell me if I have a tail now or something. Maybe look like a big old monkey even."

He trailed off as if catching a shift in the air, the line of Bres' temper. He shrugged. "I should have always been a monkey," he explained simply. "But I didn't know if I was broken. Anyway, first things first. We want to get out of here and get unchained from each other." He lifted the chain and peered at it curiously. "It looks so normal but you can't break it and I can't break it and it seems rude for it to be so short."

In addition to the chain, Hanuman himself seemed to be receding back into his more customary face. Whatever energy had bubbled to the surface during the attempts at the door and the growling with Bres went back into chill-mode.
Pointing with his free hand, Hanuman indicated a small old-fashioned black phone on the one night stand. "Do you want to do the honors? Since you know Nigel?"

After he had tried a few numbers, however, he sighed. No outside lines, each one taking him to the front desk which he promptly disconnected. For the final time, though, he let it ring out and waited for this mysterious Nigel to answer.

Finally, there was a pause and Hanuman rushed to fill it. "Yes, that's great and all but what we were really wondering is how can we get out of the cuffs and how can we get out of our room. Not that it's not a nice room and I'm glad you were so considerate about the size of the bed and the dresser drawers and all but... Uh huh... Oh... Okay."
Making a face, Hanuman hung the phone up again.
