Summary: Sif and Tara get to try to work together.

Sif was used to waking up early. Just a simple nightshirt to bed--it made it easy to change in the mornings. She could feel the warm weight of a person beside her, and figured it was Tyr. She moved to give him a quick kiss, and quickly realized it wasn't Tyr.

"No, you are definitely not my husband," she said aloud. And then she noticed the chain. "...I'm sure there's an explanation... And I wish I knew what it was."

Astarte the Wanton didn't wear a shirt to bed. She only wore underpants because Seth had been twitchy lately about the kid. So the presence of pajamas got her mind turning, but not enough to bother opening her eyes this early when ... oh.

"...Yeah. No offense meant, but the list of people I want to be chained to and/or in bed with, well it's a really short list. So unless the boss and ... um, Tyr, right? ... show up with a camera, I'd say we have a problem."

"Tyr does have his... adventurous side, but being chained to women I don't know isn't something he's ever brought up before. That, and it might be a little difficult to explain to the children," Sif mused.

She examined the chain.
"This looks at least police-grade. Tyr has some similar to this at home. We'll need a key to get it undone. Do you see one?"

"...Not seeing anything. If I had any of my tools, I could probably still handle it, but, obviously, they're not here either."

'Okay, so... I'm pretty sure we're not in this by accident. Any bright ideas on what to do?" Sif asked.

"If we want to make a thorough search of the room, we've got to see how much we can coordinate moving in this situation."

"One of us take high, and the other low?" Sif suggested.

Tara shrugged, then winced at the jerking entanglement, then...gave a shruglike facial exprsesion. "Works. I'll do low. I'm used used enough to getting things out of the chest on the floor."

"Sounds like a plan," Sif said, nodding. Carefully, she got up and starting searching the higher areas in hopes of finding a key or some other clue to their freedom.

"So," Tara asked as she looked under things. "I'm still catching up on things. How are all the actual problems in the real world?"

Sif chuckled.
"You might need to narrow that down a little,' she said, "The real world has quite the share of problems."

"The part with the legal fatwa against us, for instance. How was that going last you heard?"

"I haven't heard much," Sif admitted, shaking her head, "I'm just a mom and a bakery owner. I haven't gotten much involvement on the political and legal things."
