Word came to him that the godlings had dithered around enough. It was time for them to go home and get on with it. Right! Nigel had his orders and he was nothing if not efficient.

He took the initiative to put into play Evacuation Protocol #57. Everything in his guests' rooms suddenly ceased to work. Lights went out. Televisions and computers turned off on their own. Even the water taps stopped functioning, and all of it suddenly. If they were outside of their room their key no longer opened doors, except for those of the elevator bay and then the elevators would take them only to the lobby.

He straightening the cap on his head, smoothed the lapels of his jacket then brushed imaginary lint from his sleeves. He was prepared for the ensuing confrontations.

When the power outage hit, it was certainly an annoyance to Apollo.

"Contrary to popular belief, I can't actually create the light of the sun," he quipped upon entering the lobby, "Still, everyone all right? My girls? My Muses? They're all right?"

Hearing that he rolled his eyes. Hopefully the next check in of godlings will be a bit less dramatic.

"Lucky for you, I'm in a good mood, so I'll take that as a 'yes'," Apollo said.

"So, what's going on, then?"

"Check out time, sir!" He pratically chirped that out with a bland smile then held his hand out, palm up. "Your key, please."

"Huh. Just when I was getting comfortable with the place," Apollo mused, handing over the key.

"That was never the point of this little visit, sir. Hence the strong suggestion by the establishment to move this along." He replaced the key in the letterbox then turn with a tight smile on his face. "Now if you would please join the others..."

"Uh-huh," Apollo said, and sauntered off to join the other godlings.
