Summary: Tyr and his daughter, Tina, go visit Sif over the weekend.


Kevin had to admit he was anxious as they got closer and closer to their destination.

His ever perceptive daughter caught on quick. "Are you sweating, Daddy?

"What? Oh yeah, a little, hon. I'm just a little hot."

"But you have the air conditioner on." She seemed to think a minute. "Are you worried about seeing your friend?"

Sometimes she could be way too perceptive. He sighs. "Yeah, honey. I am a little."

Again she seemed to think. "Is she your girlfriend?"

Kevin nearly coughed in surprise. "What? No, Tina. Amber is an old friend who I haven't had a chance to sit down and talk with for awhile, that's all."

Tina raised a screwed-up eyebrow at him, totally not convinced.

He noticed, and while part of him was ashamed at his inability to do something so simple, her discretion was appreciated. He couldn't disguise the slight frown on his face though. Her sudden words snapped him out of his mild depression.

"Huh? Oh yes, I imagine it will." With the plate still, he managed to finish up. He picks it up, and with a little bit of a show, takes a bite. "Mmm, you weren't kidding. This tastes great."

Sif blushed a little and her smile broadened.
"Well, at least that's one thing I can promise. You'll always eat well with me around," she said.

He suddenly turned to her with a serious expression. He caressed her cheek with the back of his hand.
"Even if your food was completely inedible, I would want you around." Yes it was sappy, but he meant it.

"Thank you," she said demurely, but then her blue eyes sparkled. "How long have you been waiting to use that line?"

He chuckles. "Do you want that in years or centuries?"

"Plenty long, then. I understand," she said.

"...I suppose I should go ahead and get the couch made up for you," Sif mused, "Well, unless, of course... you'd rather sleep upstairs?"

His eyes shot up in surprise for a moment.

"That's..very tempting. Beyond tempting truthfully, but..I don't want this to go too fast. I made that mistake once, and I owe to Tina to do better this time. The couch..wil be alright." Part of him was in the mood to kick his own ass.

"Only if you're sure," Sif said. "After all, I realize Norse men tend to have... hearty appetites. I'm sure after waiting so long, yours is pretty worked up. But, I leave the choice with you."

Gods was she tempting. He walked up to her, giving her a light kiss before answering. "I would, gods know I want to, but I have my responsibilities. Besides, I care too much to turn you into a sexual conquest. I want our first time together to be special, call me sappy. I've waited this long, I can wait a little longer. Just knowing..that you're with me..means so much."
