Summary: Newly-mortal Puck is reuniting with Titania.

Air travel wasn't that new to Puck. On occasion, he'd chosen to bear wings and fly. Airline travel, however, was a whole new thing to discover. And what wonders there were! Moving sidewalks! Bustling people! Mysterious machines that whirred and beeped and revealed secrets! And the flight itself, cutting through the air currents, rather than swooping and bobbing along with them.

Indeed, as he entered the new airport, Puck was so fascinated with all the sights and sounds and people that he very nearly forgot he was supposed to be looking for Titania.

"These are common expectations of yours?" he guessed.

"Pretty much." She gave him another once-over and grinned broadly. "You aren't wearing a skirt, though, so you might not get groped."

Puck considered.
"Am I to consider that good or ill fortune, Lady?"

"Depends on how saucy you feel, I guess." She looked down the track, noted the train approaching, and gently pulled him back a step from the edge. Then she waited until they were aboard and settled on a bench in the back before continuing, "But I wouldn't give them a thrill if I were you. You're really kind of pretty in this form, you know."

"You... find me pretty, Lady?" he repeated, looking slightly confused by the idea.

"Of course." Laughter shone in her eyes but there was sincerity in how she held his hand. "Not as pretty as I am, of course, but that's just something you'll have to live with."

"Dear Lady, there are few in this world or beyond who could truly rival you in fairness," he assured her.

"Mmm, good answer." She rewarded him with a very faint, fleeting kiss on the cheek. "So, Mischief, what would you like to do while I have you in my grasp?"

Puck blinked at her.
"Everything we possibly can, Lady."

"That doesn't really narrow it down much." She giggled. "We're in New York. The city doesn't sleep, there's all sorts of shows and stores and things, and we're young... Ish and full of energy. Name something, anything."

"Ah, so many choices and so little time..." he mock-sighed. "My dear, Lady, you know the city better than I. Would you be so kind as to introduce me to what you find to be its finest charms? We'll start with your favorite."

"It's too early for ice cream," she announced. "Let's drop your things off at my place and then we'll go adventuring in Central Park. The weather's just right for it and the people-watching ought to be phenomenal."

"Oh, I can just imagine so," Puck laughed, "Will we be playing some of our old games, Lady?"

The look she gave him would not have looked out of place on a guileless fawn, all big grey eyes and slightly startled innocence. It was a really good look; if it had been for anyone other than Puck, they would have bought it. Him knowing, though? That was half of the fun.

"Our old games?" she repeated. "My goodness, what do you mean?"

"Surely you haven't forgotten?" he asked with equally-faux innocence. "Games like 'Come into my Castle' and 'Ring A Ring of Roses,' dear Lady."

"I think I'd be more than happy to receive you into my court," she answered with a growing smile. "You have such lovely manners."

Such banter kept the duo entertained for the half hour trek back into Manhattan and, with almost supernatural luck, they caught every subway connection they wanted without fuss or hassle. Thus, before too long, they stood in front of Titania's narrow charm-filled brownstone building. Taking his hand in hers, she winked at him. "If Karen's in, we're going to be extra fast and, if you behave, we'll get ice cream after our adventures in the park."

"I shall be on my utmost best behavior," Puck promised, "Pity I won't have time to properly gret your friend."

"Pity for her but not for us. I'm going to be a brat and be completely greedy this weekend." Titania gave him a glorious, lovely grin and then half-dragged him up the narrow stairs. "Now try not to devastate her with your charm."

With that cheerful warning, she fished out her key, unlocked the door, and tugged him into her cozy little apartment. A freckled blonde sitting at the breakfast bar looked up from the newspaper. "Misha?"

"Hi, Karen!" Titania gave a little wave. "This is my friend Owen that I told you about. He'll be here for the weekend. We just wanted to drop off his stuff and then we'll be out of your hair." She was already manhandling him down the hallway towards her room as she finished her little speech.

"Charmed," Puck said, winking at the blonde girl before he was whisked down the hall.
"So, this is your bower, Lady?" he asked as he was ushered into the room.

"It is. Do you like it?" she asked as she pushed the door closed behind them and watched his reaction to the comfy little room. A low white metal bedstead, any number of pillows and blankets in varying shades of blue and purple and white and silver, bits of painted furniture and silver-mirror pieces. She reached out for a switch and a string of fairy lights around the room's crown molding flickered to life, reflecting in the various shiny surfaces.

"It's very you," Puck said, "I wouldn't have expected any less. Though... if anything, it seems to be lacking in flowers."

"Flowers aren't nearly as fun when you have to gather them yourself." She pouted for a moment, then crossed the room to lift a pretty cut-glass vase. "I had some in here a few days ago but they got too droopy. I haven't replaced them yet. If you want, we can go to the Flower District and get more."

"I shall get you all the flowers your heart desires, Lady," Puck said cheerfully, "Do you think it's lacking anything else?"

Setting down the vase, Titania looked around the room with a thoughtful expression. Then she turned back to him with a smile full of mischief. "Oh, nothing else at all at the moment. Not now, anyway."

"What is it you're desiring, Lady?" Puck asked, lightly kissing her hand.
