Summary: Everybody out of the pool!
Word came to him that the godlings had dithered around enough. It was time for them to go home and get on with it. Right! Nigel had his orders and he was nothing if not efficient.
He took the initiative to put into play Evacuation Protocol #57. Everything in his guests' rooms suddenly ceased to work. Lights went out. Televisions and computers turned off on their own. Even the water taps stopped functioning, and all of it suddenly. If they were outside of their room their key no longer opened doors, except for those of the elevator bay and then the elevators would take them only to the lobby.
He straightening the cap on his head, smoothed the lapels of his jacket then brushed imaginary lint from his sleeves. He was prepared for the ensuing confrontations.

"Hey, did we have a circuit overload or something?" she asked Nigel when she got to the lobby.

Fortunately Gawain was in a first floor hallway when the power went out. At this point not in the least surprised by the sudden darkness, he felt his way back to the lobby and found Nigel at the front desk.
"So, Nigel, what's next on the mythological mystery menu?"

He turned to the letterboxes. "The establishment would rather that all of you were in a hurry. No point in lingering here now is there?"

The ride had been fun and dandy for all of the hour or so he'd held Medusa up in his room. Now, he was just getting annoyed and that fatherly instinct kicked back in. Once his mind was clear and not hazed by a drunken sexual state he could focus on the real matter. So, when the television, internet and phone lines stopped working it was more than enough incentive to get down to business, even if it did knock him on his back again.
The walls shook as he approached the ballroom with an angry scowl on his face.

"I'm guessing the power outage wasn't just to my room?" she asked, walking up to Nigel at the desk, "Is there anything we can do to help?"

"Contrary to popular belief, I can't actually create the light of the sun," he quipped upon entering the lobby, "Still, everyone all right? My girls? My Muses? They're all right?"

"I fear there's been a most inopportune power failure," she said, a dangerous edge to her purr when she spoke to Nigel, "And you might wish to alert the housekeeping staff that the sheets in my room are torn and should be replaced."

"Hello, Nigel," Seth said with a tinge of venom, holding out his key. He looked at Nigel, not as well would look at a person, but as an object someone created. "I wander which primordial entity created you for this. Most of them would care little about such human conceits as to make you look like a bellhop."

He paused to let that sink in, then turned smartly to return the key to the letterbox. "Do join the others, if you please."

"If you please!" he said, slightly too loud and knocking on the counter. "The sommelier of this fine establishment refused my custom and my service, referring me to you for appeal." He paused, collecting his thoughts. "...So... I appeal." This last statement was delivered with all the weight of the closing argument in a trial.

"I'm afraid that you might find my counterargument somewhat disappointing, sir. I must request that you turn in your key, and join the others over there."

"This the closing ceremony, or are you still playing games?" he asked Nigel with an abrupt tone.

To that matter he held out his hand.

Reaching the entrance of the foyer with the revolving door to his left, he clapped his hands together to get their attention. "I do hope that you have enjoyed your stay here at Hôtel Jeu Ancien. The establishment wishes to thank you for your patronage, and expresses the sincere hope that you will all grace our halls again."
He gave something of that simpering smile and titter, his shoulders worming back a forth a little. "As for myself, I must admit it was splendid to meet each and every one of you. One hears stories but the wise know that you can only truly know the truth of a person by meeting them for yourself, and some of you surprised me." He shook a finger at Hades, Apollo and Nimue.
"That said, it is time for you to return." He began unbuttoning his coat. "As stated before, all four of your world's elements are required to set the revolving door to open where you want." With a jerk, his uniform coat was removed, revealing not the pressed white, linen shirt beneath it but a rather loud Hawaiian shirt. "Good luck to you, godlings. You will need it."
He gave a tug on his pants, pulling them off not unlike a male stripper leaving behind a pair of khaki shorts that left his pasty and somewhat fuzzy legs bare to the world. Instead of the shiny, patent leather shoes he was wearing braided bamboo thongs on his feet.
The little cap was still on his head and he tipped it at his former guests, a chipper looking smile on his face. "Ta!" And with that, he turned smartly then with gangly strides went through the revolving door.

"Moment of truth then." He touched a hand to the shoulder of fellows as he nodded then started towards Hades. "Right."

Does anyone else notice that Hugh and Richard look a lot alike?
Yes, yes they do! XD
Perhaps Poseidon and Gawain are long-lost brothers?
It's a mystery! Only Poseidon has the bigger nose
I die of laughter here and now if that's the case. XD
