Summary: Aphrodite is calling an all-pantheon council. Let's talk strategy.

Not everyone had come to lunch. That wasn't terribly surprising. Even in this house, it seemed almost no one was on the same schedule. Still, by now, most of them at least generally knew when Sif served lunch--at the very least, the smell of her cooking was a good tip-off. Still, afterward, Aphrodite waited in the formal dining room, hoping that a full strategy could be agreed upon.

Bres always made it a point to be punctual. Besides, he was eager to return home. He trusted his subordinates to keep the company running, but there were enough ambitious people working for him that some concern was warranted.

Hades had been to the lunch and had stayed afterwards, waiting for people to arrive for the meeting. Aphrodite had called it, and he supported her taking initiative, it would be good practice if she were to rule one day.

Tyr, being the ever-dutiful husband, had been there even before lunch, helping Sif when able. So it was no surprise he was there for both lunch and among the first to arrive at the meeting.

Sif was bustling in the kitchen, making sure all the dishes were picked up and food put away. Once she was satisfied, she took her spot next to Tyr.

Seth had arrived for lunch, accompanying Tara, who was positive ravenous after smelling Sif's delicious foods. As a result he had stuck around to wait for the meeting.

Bastet entered casually, looking almost disinterested as she sat with the rest of her pantheon. Her eyes, however, had the alertness of a hunter.

Frigg hadn't arrived quite as early as Tyr, but there was no way she could resist being around Sif's cooking. After lunch she sat patiently for the other godlings to arrive.

Mab was punctual, and arrived prepared for business. She had not attended the luncheon because this was not a social gathering and had no intention of treating it as such. She strode purposefully to the chair at the end of the table (head our foot of the table made no matter, either was a position of power and she intended to take one) and insinuated herself into it, in a practiced, ladylike fashion.

Arthur's Bad Feelings About This had not really lifted. Lunch was very nice, though. His compliments to the chef.

Dionysus slumped into the dining room, looking a bit rumpled and dusty. He'd liberated a choice bottle of Merlot from the cellar, which he was holding somewhat carelessly. Still, his actions had the look of long practice as he set the bottle down on the table, flicked out a corkscrew and popped out the cork in the space of a few calm heartbeats, and lounged back in his chair carelessly.
"Here's to us," he said, grasping the bottle and gulping a few mouthfuls right from the neck of the bottle as he looked around the table.

Ariadne came in, ready to talk strategy. She had a few ideas in mind already after the small discussion with Hades and the others.

She sighed a little when she saw Dionysus with his bottle.
"Don't you want a clear head for this?" she asked him quietly.

Esther came in, dressed much as she usually was on Capitol Hill, trying to project whatever leadership she could as she took her seat near the Celts.

Lilith was with Esther, her brand new bracelet on her right wrist. She felt rather secure with it on once she discovered that it basically knocked out her ambient ability. And this meeting was a very good place to have that ability temporarily put on hold.

She sat down beside Esther, but closest to the Celts. She felt it was right since she was like a physical bridge for the two groups. Also, she wanted to sit by her boyfriend. So sue her.

Apollo fairly swaggered into the room, his Muses in tow. He nodded cheerfully to Aphrodite and took a seat near her at the head of the table.

Melpomene could care less about this little meeting. She came because she knew Apollo would make her come if she tried to bail. It wasn't another stupid baby shower so why bother fighting about it? She sat and promptly folded her arms on the table, slouching and looking immediately bored.

Triton strode in purposefully with Athena at his side. He knew he wasn't all that high on the totem pole of his pantheon, but it was his responsibility to at least know what the plan was.

Athena was ready to head home, so she had every intention of doing what she could to make this go fast and smooth.

Asclepius hesitated for just a moment, debating on where to sit. He was still born a Greek. The son of Apollo and all that. But, he was sworn in knighthood to the Celts, even if their leader snubbed that little fact.

Finally, he sat directly between the Greeks and the Celts, bridging the two pantheons.

Kali marched in impatiently, plunking down near the Egyptians.
"So, we gonna talk here or what?" she demanded.

Aphrodite delicately cleared her throat. Already, she could feel the different synergies starting to crackle together. Very subtly, she sent out a damper on the ones that would incite the... baser urges of the group, hoping that would help keep everyone focused.

"Good afternoon, everyone, and thank you for coming," she said graciously. "As we're all aware, the only way we get to go home is by developing a comprehensive plan to protect ourselves and each other from the threats of those outside our group. We're all at equal risk, so I think we will all need to shoulder some responsibility in handling the situation. Does anyone have any ideas thus far?"

Athena leaned forward, glancing at Ariadne and her uncle briefly before speaking. "Ariadne and I have come up with an idea. It's not a full on strategy, just a piece to add," she clarified. "I'm a hacker, and I think I can get into the FCF'. I can highjack their newsletters, private emails, pretty much anything. From there we can keep an eye on them and also change somethings in our favor."
